Recently I was reminded that we entrepreneurs, leader and difference-maker types often under-estimate what we can accomplish in a year. I think that Alex Charfen, CEO and Founder of the Charfen Institute, reminds of just how far we can go – if we align ourselves and are accountable for our outcomes.
You see he’s a man who lost everything in one moment and then, in seemingly the next, helped to redefine a segment of the real estate market. Along the way, his company was on the Inc 500 Fastest Growing Companies list for two years running.
He’s a passionate, purpose-driven entrepreneur and leader who’s enthusiasm clearly can take over from time to time.
Alex’s story has highs and lows and he shares them openly in his discussion with me and honors us all with the lessons he learned in the depths of failure. It’s amazing how he was able to turn things around and quickly put that failure behind him, without forgetting what it taught him. A triumph accomplished by a very simple shift in perception.
He takes us through that journey and serves as an incredible reminder of just how much we can do in a year.
