Four Top 5 Lists - Part One of Four

As we take stock of the year that was and look forward to our goals for 2014 I thought I'd start off by looking backward at the year that was for Paper Napkin Wisdom by sharing four Top 5 Lists with you. Each day, I will share four perspectives on the "Top 5 Podcasts of Paper Napkin Wisdom." As with is the case when we change the way we look at the world, the world we look at changes.  The way we look at the Top 5 - the Top 5 changes. I know many of you are new to Paper Napkin Wisdom and wonder where to start.  Perhaps these lists are a good place ... but as with all things, the point is just to start.  To start to be inspired. To start to be the change you want to see in the world. I have learned so much from the guests of Paper Napkin Wisdom over the years and the journey of sharing their stories with you in 2013 has been a great gift.  One of the things that I realized I hadn't done in some time is write down my goals ... I observed that I had become less focused, less accomplished and less impactful in 2013.  I believe that the reason for this is that I had been "drifting" without having taken this step that used to be part of every year. At the end of the series of Top 5s I will be taking a leap of faith and sharing the goals for 2014 with all of you.  This is a hugely bold thing for me to do and I'm admittedly feeling very awkward (possibly even shy) about doing this.  Do it, however, I will ... I know that you will be asking about how I'm doing against these goals in the future.  Though I find that level of transparency and accountability intimidating, I'm looking forward to the challenge of pushing myself to a new level and to great things for us all in 2014. On to today's Top 5 List:  The Top 5 Paper Napkin Wisdom Podcasts (in terms of shares on Facebook) for 2013! 1. Influencing People And Becoming "Happily" Incompatible With Others - Allie Mooney Allie is a ball of energy and I think that comes across in this wonderful conversation about personality types and what makes people tick. 2. Conquering Fears By Being The Change She Needed - Fabiana Bacchini This conversation was the first I had with someone that I had never met before the Paper Napkin Wisdom interview.  I was very much looking forward to it, but wondered how it would turn out.  Clearly it was well liked. 3. Everything is "Easy" When We Do This - Winnie Brignac Hart Winnie is an impressive entrepreneur and leader ... in this case particularly impressive is that this conversation made this Top 5 since it was posted just 6 days ago! Her Paper Napkin Wisdom sparked a great conversation. 4. Energy - How Do You Manage Yours?  Beware The Energy Vampires! - Dandapani Dandapani, who was a Monk and now is a Priest, has a message that has the capability of being profoundly impactful to our community of entrepreneurs, leaders and difference-makers.  He gives us a simple way to "harness" our energy resources on a daily basis. 5. Is Gratitude The Gatekeeper to Greatness? - Barrett Ersek Barrett is a serial entrepreneur and has started and sold a few companies along the way. His message is candid, impactful, and simply profound.  He talks about how he was grateful when facing a challenge that would paralyze most with fear.  Incredible story.
