Spread Some Dopamine - Jenn Lim (CEO & Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness)

Jenn Lim is CEO & Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness. She led the launch and management of Tony Hsieh’s Delivering Happiness and has spoken at companies, universities, and organizations such as Twitter, Pixar, Stanford, UCLA, and the American Marketing Association. She’s a confident and clever woman and strives to follow her passions. Jenn’s passions are the driving force behind her work and in her Paper Napkin, she advocates following your own passion: Want to change the world? Follow a passion and purpose. Her advice is a product of her own life experiences. Throughout the course of her life journey, Jenn has used the highs (like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro) and lows (like losing her father) as a lens to discover what her real passions are and how to best live through them and be true to her real purpose. She says that doing things you’re passionate about and having a purpose is not just about changing the world, it’s about your own happiness and happiness is contagious. Happiness flows from the ‘me’ to the ‘we’ and the community, says Jenn. Until you have a happy self it’s almost impossible to affect change in your team or company, but when you have a happy self, you can increase the level of your employees’ happiness. The happier your team, the happier your customers, and the better able your company will be able to weather the economy. It’s important to note, that happiness isn’t about things being easy, or always having fun. If happiness were easy, everyone would always be happy. It’s about fulfillment and there’s a real value to it; it correlates directly to your ROI, aids in employee retention, increases engagement and leaves you with a loyal and productive workforce. As entrepreneurs, that’s something we should all be happy about. Listen to the conversation with Jenn here:
