There Are No Shortcuts

But if there are, all of them are related to visibility and progress. When we are visible in our efforts we are accountable to everyone. When we are making progress we are creating momentum. Together they are unstoppable.

Key Performance ...

Leaders, have you ever had a workout buddy, or spotter? It's always way easier to show up for my workout when there's a buddy waiting for me to workout together. This gives us clues about the the great and possibly only shortcut in life, the buddy system. Teachers use it in classrooms, teens use it, athletes use it. Everyone in peak performance uses it. Try it out, I suggested this in a podcast when Rob Simons turned the tables on me and interviewed me for my Paper Napkin WIsdom. Set your goals in public, share what you're going to accomplish, by when, and how. Then report your progress against these objectives to your team, your peers, your buddies, (your spotters) every week. Do it even more often if you'd like. Of course, this means that you will have to start charting your progress against these goals. Call these your Key Performance Indicators and share them openly, see what happens. Try it out ... Make it a great day,Govindh@WiseNapkin
