Weekend Reflections ... on a very good day.

A beautiful, crisp fall morning has made me think about the many things I'm grateful for in my life.  There is so much.  I have a wonderful family, great friends, and the ability to shape my own future.  I am truly blessed. It's with that in mind that I write this post.  I can't believe that this blog has launched with one measly post and already so many people have checked in - taken a read and shared their thoughts with me.  Thank you all - I am deeply grateful for your attention and thoughts. With that in mind, I thought it timely to share this video with you: David Steindl-Rast: "A Good Day" ... This video was shared with my class this year at MIT.  I was there starting my Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) sponsored Entrepreneurial Masters Program (EMP) with more than 60 of the most exceptional entrepreneurs I have ever met.  Incredible experience.  More incredible still was the job done by the EO Global Staff (Leslie Baum and Joy Hayes) orchestrating the program and our incredible facilitator, Brian Brault. One morning, after having filled our heads with incredible ideas of structure and process to help build exceptional companies, Brian started the session with this video.  It helped us continue what has been an incredible journey and many times along the way I've come back to the video to get back in touch with the feelings of resiliency, tenacity, possibility, and of course gratitude that I felt  that morning in MIT.  It works every time. I don't really know where this Paper Napkin Wisdom project is going to take me (and I hope you too) ... but I know it will be impactful, it will have passion and purpose. I'm a little nervous as I start the journey. I know that sounds silly to say, but it's true.  This feels like a pretty big stage and I've got this gigantic fear of failure thing.  I think lots of us leader/entrepreneur types have it.  It pushes me to a good place.  It pushes me to be prepared, work my butt off, and ask for lots of help. The first two I can handle. The third is what motivated me to write today. I'm asking for your help. My plan is to post a new podcast each and every business day, starting Monday.  That means I need about 250-260 people to speak with this year.  I know that sounds like a lot, but it's really not.  What I don't want to do is make this just about who I think of. One of the great gifts I've been able to receive is that I'm surrounded by people who cover off my blind spots.  I've got lots of them.  I remember my mother once telling me that I would often look for things with my eyes closed.  This time, I want to be sure that I don't repeat that error. So I need your help to cover my blind spot. Please share with me ideas for people I should include in this journey.  I'm looking to hear about your heroes - be them big names or small.  I'm looking for great stories, great pearls of wisdom that I can share with all of you so that we can learn from each-other's experiences. Look forward to hearing from you - and thanks for your help. Book Govindh for your next speaking event here.
